All Time World Cup!
Mexico have always been something of an enigma in world football. One of the strongest domestic leagues outside the European ‘Big Five’; passionate fans in huge stadia; an abundance of skilful players.
However, those skilful players have hardly ever succeeded abroad. Mexico almost always qualify for the World Cup, but have rarely impressed, tending to choke when on the verge of achieving things. The ease of their World Cup qualifying route has surely hindered their development.
The Central Americans would be once again relying their talisman and greatest-ever player, Real Madrid’s Hugo Sanchez.
